Cheryl M. Newbegin

     CARIBOU — Cheryl M. Newbegin, 68 passed away suddenly August 31, 2016 at Bangor.

     She was born in Caribou January 5, 1948, the daughter of the late Milton and Marion (Brumbaugh) Damboise. She was a graduate of Caribou High School and was a member of the Riverside Grange in Berwick. Cheryl began her career at Cary Memorial Hospital in early 1962 in the dietary department for seventy- five cents an hour. She then worked in housekeeping for several years, but most of her over 55 year career at Cary was spent as the medical floor secretary and CNA. Cheryl was the most tenured employee at Cary and she will be truly missed by all who knew and worked with her. 

     She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy and Scott Moulton of Easton, PA and Lori Bennett and Tom Corliss of Berwick; two grandchildren, Alyssa and Erika Bennett. Cheryl was predeceased by a brother, Lenny Damboise. Friends visited  with the family at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street Caribou Saturday, September 3, 2016 from 3 p.m. until time of services which were held at 4:30 p.m. from the funeral home with Rev.
