Harvest is topic on Sept. 7, 2016
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Aroostook Medical Center and the Presque Isle Historical Society will team up Wednesday, Sept. 7, for a presentation on potato harvesting.
The presentation, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the McCain Conference Roomon the second floor of TAMC’s East Annex at 140 Academy St.
Participants will learn about picking potatoes by hand. In addition to a short video on harvest, Historical Society member Richard Rand will have his 1946 potato truck on hand in the parking lot to give a brief demonstration.
