CARIBOU, Maine — One hundred and twenty five boys and girls competed in this year’s Aroostook Federal Savings and Loan Viking Run, a running event for youth which was held on Labor Day, Sept. 5 at the high school track.
The top three in each division are as follows:
Pre-K and kindergarten quarter mile: boys, first, Ben Rosser, 2:02; second, Riggs Peterson, 2:02; and third, Riley Eye, 2:13; girls, first, Milana Hearn, 2:00; second, Emma Graves, 2:01; and third, Anna Griffeth, 2:06.
Grades 1-2 half mile: boys, first, Jacob Edgecomb, 4:00; second, Owen Tetlon, 4:08; and third, Michael Gagnon, 4:15; girls, first, Rachel Rolon, 3:31; second, Reese Doucette, 3:39; and third, Breanna Royer, 3:52.
Grades 3-4 half mile: boys, first, Isaac Staples, 3:02; second, Camden Pelletier, 3:07; and third, Landon Picard, 3:16; girls, first, Teanne Ewings, 3:12; Maggie Bell, 3:42; and Althea Wilcox, 3:51.
Grades 5-6 mile: boys, first, Jude Shea, 6:37; second, George Ferland, 6:54; and third, Jonathan Staples, 7:00; girls, first, Annalise Jandreau, 6:36; second, Kayley Bell, 7:08; and third, Claire Ouellette, 8:05.
Grades 7-8 mile: first, Carter Quist, 6:04; second, Carter Pelletier, 5:47; and third, Daneile Uchendu, 6:10; girls, first, Mia Henderson, 6:24; second, Edie Shea, 6:48; and third, Madysen Picard, 7:11.
