Saucier stands up for The County
To the Editor:
Rep. Bob Saucier is a strong and compassionate legislator. Every day, he stands up for Aroostook County and always votes thoughtfully and carefully with his constituents in mind.
Rep. Saucier has been a tireless advocate for rural Maine, fighting to support and strengthen local businesses. For the past two years, he worked hard on legislation to expand broadband to Aroostook County and other rural parts of the state. Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding, this bill did not become law. However, he has already re-submitted the bill and will continue to work to ensure small businesses get the internet access they need to be competitive on the state and national level.
He has also supported small businesses by voting for measures to ensure that Maine products and goods made in the United States are given first priority. Rep. Saucier recognizes that when we bypass American workers for goods made elsewhere we are rewarding those companies that have moved their operations, investment dollars and jobs to foreign countries.
It continues to be a pleasure to serve with Rep. Saucier. His work ethic and dedication to his job make him an invaluable member of the Legislature.
