Down the homestretch
IN THE CITY
The light at the end of the tunnel, on the brink, approaching the finish line. However you like to say it, with regards to the Presque Isle Community Center Project, we are almost done. Within just a few weeks, the new Sargent Family Community Center will finally open its doors.
There are two very important dates to know, so mark your calendars. The first is Saturday, October 29th, the day of our grand opening. All are invited. Come join us on this special day and walk through the beautiful new facility and help us celebrate the hard work of so many.
A lot is in the works for this event. The Presque Isle High School Band will be there. We will have a variety of activities for all ages, demonstrations, interactive games, more music and of course a special ribbon-cutting ceremony. You can also learn about all the exciting and enhanced activities that will be available in this wonderful new facility. The event will start at 10 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. Don’t miss out!
The second important date you need to know is Monday, October 31st. Not just because it is Halloween, but because the facility will officially open its doors for public use. With a full-size gymnasium, walking track, senior center, teen center and a multi-purpose room, the new facility has something for everyone.
It has taken many years of hard work, inspiration and immense generosity for this new community center to become a reality. Now is the time to enjoy and reap the wonderful benefits this special new place will provide our community for decades to come.
