The Oakfield Senior Citizens met on Wednesday, Sept. 21, for their last meeting of the month.
Information about the Halloween contest was discussed. There will be prizes for first- and second-place winners. Dig out your favorite costume and join us on Oct. 19th at the Smoki-Haulers Snow Club in Oakfield.
The 50/50 winner this week was Charlotte Marley.
Lisa Moulton from the Agency on Aging in Presque Isle was the guest speaker with lots of information about the upcoming Medicare open enrollment in October. She also shared with us that if anyone is in need of equipment such as wheelchairs, they should call the agency for more information about that need.
The business meeting was called to order and all the reports were read and accepted.
Attending were: Marie Gillotti, Arlene Friel, Bob and Delores Locke, Berniece Campbell, Earl and Lottie Doughty, Iona Nadeau, Nacie Fowler, Alma Russell, Sharon Anderson, Wannetta Townsend, Don and Charlotte Marley, George Barrow and guest Lisa Moulton.
All seniors are invited to join.
The next meeting will be a picnic lunch at Riverfront Park in Houlton on Oct. 5 at 11:30. All are welcome to pack their favorite picnic food, enjoy the scenery with everyone and bring a friend.
