Sorority meets
Maine Epsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi held their September meeting at the home of Bonnie Cowett.
Thank-you notes were read from Ginny Packard. It was voted to sponsor GIFT food Pantry again this year. Each sister is asked to bring donations of peanut butter at the next meeting. It was voted to send a money donation to a Mapleton family who was recently burned out of their home. Barb Hews will be celebrating her 90th birthday with a party at the Methodist Church on Oct 9th. President, Sue Lougee, will contact the Presque Isle Library to see if they are interested in getting the group’s past scrapbooks. Many sisters shared fond memories of summer traveling adventures.
The next meeting will be at the home of Judy Kenney on Thursday, Oct. 20 with a Pound Auction to be enjoyed by the sisters. Refreshments will be prepared by Linda, Ellen and Tammy.
