    MACFARLINE, Wayne C., 63, Presque Isle, September 20, 2016. In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Wayne C. MacFarline, 63, husband of Carla S. (Achorn) MacFarline, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Tuesday morning, September 20, 2016, at his Presque Isle home. He was born September 23, 1952, in Presque Isle, the son of Clinton G. and Louise K. (Graves) MacFarline.
    He was a graduate of the Presque Isle High School, Class of 1971 and he had been employed as the farm mechanics instructor at the Presque Isle High School Technical Program for over 30 years prior to his retirement in
2007. He was married to Carla S. Achorn on July 23, 2007, and was an avid NASCAR fan.
    Wayne was predeceased by his parents; and he is survived by his wife, Carla of Presque Isle; one son, Wayne L. MacFarline and his companion, Kelly Sharpe, both of Presque Isle; one daughter and son-in-law, Tara and Rusty Mia of International Falls, MN; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Laura MacFarline, Tim and Heidi MacFarline, all of Presque Isle, and Darrell and Nicki MacFarline of East Holden; two sisters, Cheryl Willette and her husband, Richard, and Nancy O’Brien, all of Presque Isle; five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
    In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service was conducted Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 12 noon at the Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments was held after the services at Wayne and Carla’s home, Presque Isle. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Wayne to the charity or organization of one’s choice.
