Baltimore volunteers lend a hand

CARIBOU, Maine — Halfway Home Pet Rescue had some great help recently from an AmeriCorps group based in Baltimore.

These young people hail from all over the country with varied backgrounds and interests, but share an interest in nonprofit activities and helping people. While at the rescue, they assisted with a variety of tasks and spent time with the feline residents.

According to HHPR Executive Director Norma Milton, “It was a very productive time with lots of tough cleaning, and yet plenty of time to love up the HHPR cats.”

AmeriCorps visitors included Chelsea Criqui, Emily Lynch, Deante Talbert and Abby Youmans.

HHPR is a nonprofit, state-licensed, all-volunteer pet rescue located at 498 Main St. in Caribou.
