UMPI schedules Homecoming events
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The University of Maine at Presque Isle is celebrating homecoming this weekend with several of the events related to athletics.
On Thursday at the Campus Center, the athletic department’s spaghetti supper fundraiser will take place from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are available through the athletic department or at the door.
On Saturday, the women’s and men’s soccer teams will host Unity College for matches beginning at noon and 2 p.m., respectively. The baseball team will be sponsoring a barbecue cookout fundraiser adjacent to the soccer fields beginning at 11 a.m.
Tickets for the Athletic Hall of Fame dinner, to take place Saturday at 5:30 p.m. at the Campus Center, are available by contacting Sandy McDougal at 768-9506 or by email at sandra.mcdougal@maine.edu.
The men’s alumni and women’s alumnae soccer games take place Sunday at Park Family Field, with the men playing at 10 a.m. and the women at 11 a.m. A community fun run, also at Park Family Field and directed by cross country coach Christopher Smith, is set for 11 a.m. and an alumni baseball game begins at noon at the Presque Isle High School baseball field.
