PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Presque Isle Fire Department invites the community to their open house on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016.
The department has planned exhibits and activities for all ages at the event, which will be held at the fire station, 43 North St., from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
PIFD personnel will give fire safety trailer demonstrations and will offer a free hot dog roast.
For the younger crowd, there will be a bike rodeo from 10 a.m.-noon, with a free bicycle helmet giveaway.
The Maine Fire Marshal’s Office will present K-9 demonstrations and a live fire display to show the importance of home sprinklers.
In addition, the Presque Isle Police Department will conduct taser demos, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection will also be on hand, and Sprinkler the Clown will join in the fun.
