NEW GLOUCESTER — Victor H. O’Clair, age 55, passed away on Sept. 30, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Presque Isle on April 14, 1961, a son of Norman Jr. and Marie (Kinney) Hall, who currently reside in Presque Isle.
After graduating from school, Victor went on to proudly serve in the United States Air Force. During his career, he was stationed around the world and served in the First Gulf War in Kuwait. After 20 years of service, Victor retired as Master Sergeant. Afterward, he went on to work at Unum as a facilities engineer.
Victor was an avid sports fan and enjoyed golfing. He also enjoyed watching baseball and football, along with NASCAR events.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary (Foley) O’Clair; his parents; siblings- Vincent “Butch” O’Clair and his wife, Sue, of Presque Isle, Joel Hall and his wife, Kim, of Presque Isle, Robert Hall of AZ, Heather Stephens and her husband, Ray, of FL, and Norman Hall III and his wife, Vicki, of Presque Isle; a special niece- Kylee O’Clair; many other nieces and nephews; close cousins: Pete York and his wife, Liz, and Robyn York McCoach and her husband Don; and many other relatives and friends.
Visiting hours will be on Thursday, Oct. 6 from 1–3 p.m., followed by USAF Honors at 3 p.m. at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. Online condolence messages can be submitted at the funeral home’s website, www.mainefuneral.com.
