Oakfield Seniors

On Oct. 5, a warm fall day with the colors of the season bright and beautiful, the Oakfield Senior Citizens met at Riverfront Park in Houlton for a picnic lunch.

Lots of delicious picnic food was enjoyed by the 20 members and guests attending. What a great place for a picnic or maybe just some walking and enjoying the scenery.

Arlene Friel was the 50/50 winner.

The next meeting will be Oct. 19 at the Smoki-Haulers Snowmobile Club in Oakfield. It will be our Halloween meeting, so come in costume. There will be prizes for the first- and second-place winners in the parade of costumes. Hot dogs are on the menu with the members filling in with salads and desserts.

Attending were: Kathleen Boutilier, Marie Gillotti, Thelma Flowers, David Burpee, Arlene Friel, George Barrow, Wannetta Townsend, Nacie Fowler, Iona Nadeau, Mildred Gagnon, Don and Charlotte Marley, Sharon Anderson, Joanne Cushing, Verna Boone, Bob and Delores Locke, Earl and Lottie Doughty and Alma Russell.

We welcome all seniors to join us for potluck and fun.
