ISLAND FALLS AND BANGOR — Jeffrey D. Townsend, 61, died September 29, 2016, in Bangor. He was born May 17, 1955, in Island Falls, the son of Wallace and Ann (Violette) Townsend.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in Vietnam. Jeff loved andscaping and gardening, animals, playing his guitar, but most of all he loved his wife, children and being a grampy.
Besides his mother of Island Falls, he is survived by his wife, Jacqueline (Wood) Townsend of TN; a son, Jason Townsend of Bangor and his daughter, Emma; a daughter, Rachel Townsend and Scott of Smyrna and their children, Breyauna April Lynn Jacobs and Joseph Jeffrey Thomson; two brothers, Tracy of Wash-ington and Garth of Island Falls. He was predeceased by his father and a daughter, April.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 14th at the Island Falls Cemetery with Deacon Al Burleigh officiating.
