MONTICELLO — Allen “Corky” F. Harvey, 58, passed away Oct. 11, 2016 at Bangor hospital. He was born February 5, 1958 in Monticello, the son of Francis and Barbara (Belyea) Harvey.
Corky grew up in Monticello. He started driving truck in his teens and continued driving long-haul for many years. Corky enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and motorcycling all around Aroostook County. He most enjoyed fishing for white perch at Mattawamkeag Lake. Corky would even travel to New Hampshire to visit his daughter and fish for crappie. He loved his home and took pride in how it looked. Corky was loyal and would do anything for his daughter. He was selfless and loved being a grandfather.
Corky is survived by his parents of Monticello; his daughter Carrie Guerrette and her husband Philip, two granddaughters Rylie and Paige all of Newbury, NH; his siblings Wilma Matheson and her husband Jack of Monticello, Darla Brown and her husband Ronnie of Scarborough, Bruce Harvey and his wife Brenda, Brian Harvey all of Monticello; several nieces and nephews.
Friends called the Dunn Funeral Home 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 until the time of the service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Dwayne Campbell officiating. A private interment will be in the Jewell Cemetery.
