CARIBOU – Guy B. Searles Sr., 89, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016, in Caribou. He was born in Woodland, the son of Perley and Laura (Grondon) Searles. Guy served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Upon return home, he worked for AVR railroad for over 35 years.
Guy is survived by his sisters, Carolyn Searles and Marily Chase of Woodland; his sons, Guy “Junior” of Caribou, and Gerald and his wife, Glenna of Woodland; four grandchildren, Tony and Angela Searles of Windham, Jeannice and Mark Cyr, Michelle and Mark Corriveau and Kimber Searles and significant other, Theresa Jalbert, all of Caribou. He will also be missed by six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Guy was predeceased by his wife, Lorraine (Landeen); and his brothers, James, Jack and Eldon Searles; and his sister, Olive Saucier.
Family and friends may call from 12:30-2:30 p.m., on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover Street in Caribou. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., at Lyndon Cemetery in Caribou, Rev. Tony Searles officiating.
