Carpenter supports the trades, more

To the editor:

As an instructor in Career and Technical Education (CTE), and president of the Association for Career and Technical Education – Maine (ACTE-ME), I am excited about a candidate for the State Senate who supports educational opportunities for students to study the trades that have built and maintained this state; Mike Carpenter, of Houlton.

Mike served as our state’s Attorney General, for four years, and has never given up on his Democratic principles. He will work hard to restore Social Security benefits for our state employees and teachers that have been reduced by federal government offsets, in only a minority of states.

Mike will stand with the working class and supports Career and Technical Educational opportunities for all students in our state. He has been endorsed by the Maine Education Association.

Mike will fight for the little guy and help small businesses prosper. He is, himself, a small businessman who runs a law office in Houlton.

On November 8th, I’ll be voting for Mike Carpenter to become my State Senator and I am urging Independent, Democrat, and Republican voters from Presque Isle to Lee to do the same.
