The General Ordinance of the Town of Houlton (Section 14-520) reads “No person shall park a vehicle on any street in Houlton during the period beginning November 1, and ending March 31.”
The Houlton Police Department will be strongly enforcing the parking ban between the early morning hours of 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. The ordinance is in effect to allow the town’s Public Works to remove snow. Vehicles in violation will be ticketed. Those vehicles that hinder snow removal will be towed at the owner’s expense.
The Houlton Police Department urges all citizens to comply with the ordinance, and appreciates your cooperation.
