Troop F Report

HOULTON, Maine — The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton responded to 139 calls for service during the week of Oct. 17-23.
Monday, October 17
– Cpl. Michaud stopped a vehicle in Caribou for an expired inspection sticker and several motor vehicle defects. A license check revealed that the man’s license was under suspension. He was summoned to court for operating after suspension.
– Cpl. Hafford was dispatched to Portage Lake for a vehicle that had struck a building. The operator left the scene and was located a short time later by a game warden. After an investigation, Cpl. Hafford arrested the 59-year-old male for operating while under the influence and operating after revocation. The male was also on probation and his probation officer put a hold on him. Cpl. Hafford transported him to the Aroostook County Jail.
Friday, October 21
– Tr. Kilcollins and Cpl. Quint arrested a 32-year-old Blaine man on several outstanding warrants after he failed to pay his fines on a variety of charges. The man was arrested and transported to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton.
Saturday, October 22
– Tr. Curtin stopped a Wallagrass man for operating a dirt bike on a public way. The male subject also had no lights on while driving on the road. It was discovered that the operator of the dirt bike had a suspended license and he was subsequently cited for operating after suspension.
– Trooper Casavant responded to a family fight in Castle Hill. An intoxicated male subject called and wanted his adult, male son removed from the residence. When Trooper Casavant arrived, the son had already left the residence. The father was very intoxicated and was not co-operative. The son, who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest, was not located.
Sunday, October 23
– Trooper Sylvia responded to a Bridgewater residence. An adult male called and said his father had thrown him out of the house and wouldn’t let him take his vehicle for a ride. Trooper Sylvia spoke with the father and son and the pair agreed to attempt to settle their differences another day. The adult son decided to stay with his mother for the night.
