Players plan Cariani play auditions

PRESQUE ISLE — The Presque Isle Community Players will hold auditions for the spring 2017 production of John Cariani’s “Last Gas” Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 9 and 10.

Auditions will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. both evenings at the University of Maine at Presque Isle Campus Center’s Multi-Purpose Room.
Barbara Frick-Ladner will direct the play.
Set in a remote convenience store in northern Maine, “Last Gas” is a bittersweet romance about two people who lack the courage to admit they love one another.
Cariani, who grew up in Presque Isle, is an award-winning actor and accomplished playwright.
Performances will be March 31 and April 1, 7 and 8 at UMPI’s Wieden Hall Auditorium. Proceeds will benefit auditorium renovations.
