CARIBOU, Maine — Cary Medical Center will present “The Unknowns,” a documentary film about the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, Friday, Nov. 11, at the Caribou Cinema at 1:30 p.m.
There will be no admission charge, but donations will be accepted to benefit needy veterans in Aroostook County through the United Veterans of Maine, the Marine Corps League and Caribou VFW.
A special event recognizing the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, the hospital will present a special 50th anniversary lapel pin to Vietnam veterans who attend the showing.
“The Unknowns” was created by Army veterans Ethan Morse and Neal Schrodetzki. Both were stationed at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and bring a unique perspective to the rigorous and intricate training process that soldiers must endure to be stationed there. The film covers select portions of the training and will answer questions and dispel myths.
