After two long years, The Ark Animal Sanctuary has opened its doors to the public once again. Our grand opening was Saturday, Nov. 4.
We are all very proud and excited to show off our new sanctuary. It has been a long and emotional journey for us and we want to thank you all for being a part of that journey.
Two years ago we opened up in that tiny little cabin, never dreaming of what would eventually happen. We had it all, only to lose it all to a fire a few months later.
We hold our beloved 16 close to our hearts and we will never forget them. We have made a commitment to them to move forward and never look back. Life is precious and can be taken away in an instant, but the memories will last a lifetime.
When we first started this journey, our hearts were broken and our faith was shaken. We were not even sure if we would be able to complete the new sanctuary. With each passing day we became a little stronger and more determined, and with each passing day we moved closer and closer to reaching our dream once again.
Today we stand before you with smiles on our faces and a faith that is unshakeable . We have arrived and we have come full circle out of the ashes and into the light.
Thank you all for your generosity and support and for helping to make our dream become a reality once again. We have made so many new friends here and around the world. Thank you all for your kind words and for believing in us when our spirit was broken.
The new sanctuary is built with love. The walls are covered with color and reminders of where we came from and the work we do. The beloved 16 are the focal point. They will never be forgotten Thank you for your continued support and, as always, thank you for reading our column.
