Claudia Pipes
PIPES, Claudia, 67, Winthrop, November 9, 2016. A memorial service will be held at Faith Alliance Church, Winthrop at 1 p.m., on Saturday, November 19, 2016, followed by fellowship and refreshments.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31.
WINTHROP – Claudia Pipes, age 67, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 9, 2016. Claudia was born in Mars Hill, the daughter of Lambert and Doris (Davenport) Boyd on July 7, 1949.
She grew up in Blaine and graduated from Central Aroostook High School in 1967. She took business courses at NMVTI and UMPI and worked for many years at Potato Service, Inc. in Presque Isle as an Inventory Control Clerk. She met and married her husband, Andy, in 1981. They moved to central Maine in 1983 where they raised their two children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Surviving Claudia are: her husband of 35 years, Andrew J. Pipes; son, James A. Pipes and his wife, Valery; daughter, Stephanie Phillips and her husband, Dan; sisters, Judy Arledge, Sheila Boyd, and Laurie Knox and her husband, Dick; a brother, Lambert L. Boyd and his wife, Jennifer; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one sister, Faye Carlyle.
Claudia was blessed with many true friends and mentors along her journey in life. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Her happiest times were spent with Andy, the love of her life.
