Wayne E. “Wolfie” Harris Jr.

     WASHBURN – Wayne E. “Wolfie” Harris Jr., 56, passed away Monday afternoon, November 14, 2016, at his residence. He was born August 4, 1960, in Caribou, the son of Avis (Dickinson) Harris.

     He worked many years for Columbia Forest Products, J.M. Huber Corporation, and Fraser Lumber. “Wolfie” was an avid hunter, loved guns and enjoyed four wheeling. 

     He is survived by his significant other, Debbie Smilie of Washburn; two sisters and their husbands: Nancy and Jerry Gagnon of Perham, Molly and Terry Hafford of Wade; step-children, Heather Doody-Hester and her husband, Mark of Bradford, Jason Smilie and his wife, Becky of Valdez, Alaska; grandsons, Nick Doody, and Jack and Hunter Smilie; granddaughter, Mackenzie Doody; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Millie.

     He was predeceased by his mother. 

     A Celebration of Life will be held on Sat., Nov. 26, from 1-4 p.m., at the Washburn Trail Runners Snowmobile Club located at 48 Station Road in Washburn.
