HOULTON — The Maine State Police Troop F barracks in Houlton responded to numerous calls for service during the week of Nov. 14-20:

Monday, November 14

– Tr. Kilcollins responded to the town of Hammond for a report of three camps being broken into. Tr. Kilcollins was not able to locate the padlocks from the camps and it appears as though the suspect cut the locks and took them. The only thing that was taken from the three camps was a flat screen television. The investigation is ongoing.

– Tr. Pescitelli was in a school zone in Mars Hill running traffic and observed a Chevrolet Impala pass by his location. Tr. Pescitelli ran the license plate of the vehicle which showed it was registered to a Nissan Maxima. Tr. Pescitelli followed the vehicle to an apartment complex and spoke with the operator once he exited his vehicle. The man could not produce a registration to the vehicle. Tr. Pescitelli called the Blaine town office. The clerk stated that he plates belonged on the Nissan Maxima. The man then admitted that he had not registered the vehicle and illegally attached the Maxima’s plates. The man was summoned for attaching false plates.

Tuesday, November 15

– Sgt. Clark was on a Stonegarden detail on Interstate-95 in Sherman and stopped a vehicle for speeding. The female operator produced a suspended driver’s license. Sgt. Clark summonsed the female for criminal operating after suspension due to her having had a prior charge for OAS.

Operation Stonegarden is a federal grant program administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the State Homeland Security Grant Program. Stonegarden provides funding to state, local, and tribal law enforcement agencies to enhance their capabilities “to jointly secure U.S. borders and territories.”

On both Nov. 15 and Nov. 17, Tr. Stoutamyer was conducting two separate Stonegarden details on the I-95 in the town of Sherman when he stopped, and discovered two different individuals that were operating under suspension, and both individuals were subsequently charged for OAS.

Kilcollins notified the teen’s mother and gave the passenger a ride to Presque Isle. The teen was summoned for speeding and violation of his intermediate license.
