HOULTON, Maine — More than 375 students crowded into the multi-purpose room at Houlton Elementary School Friday, Nov. 18, to enjoy an educational show with Bob Lisaius, “Dinoman” just before the Thanksgiving break.

Lisaius, a paleontologist from Warren, Vermont has performed in schools from Maine to California with his informative presentation on dinosaurs.

By the end of the show he brings to life three giant dinosaurs. He teaches students about the age of dinosaurs, their names, their forms, what they ate and how they disappeared hundreds of thousands of years ago. He keeps the audience engaged with facts interspersed with humor. He brings science to life in a fun and unique way.

Lisaius became interested in dinosaurs as a little boy and now has carried that love of paleontology into his career. He has been doing this for more than 30 years. While in Maine, he also performed for students in Indian Township and Hampden.

Lisaius has performed in the district before and because of his dynamic show was invited again by the Houlton Parent-Teachers Organization.
