LENENTINE, Allison Howard, 84, Bridgewater, November 26, 2016. The funeral service will be held at the Bridgewater Free Baptist Church, Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 1 p.m. Arrangements are under the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.
BRIDGEWATER – Allison (Allie) Howard Lenentine, 84, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016, at home. He was born August 7, 1932, in Monticello, the son of Barry and Trissa (MacPherson) Lenentine.
He graduated in 1950 from Bridgewater Classical Academy, and in 1954 from Ricker College. He was a high school Social Studies/History teacher for one year in Hartland, ME, and then Allie was drafted into the U.S. Army June of 1955. He married Patricia Hill of Cloverdale, NB, Canada, September 10, 1955. Soon after they were married, Allie and Pat moved to El Paso, Texas, where he worked in the Information and Education Center at Fort Bliss. He served at Fort Bliss for two years. Following his discharge in June of 1957, Allie and Pat moved back to Houlton, where he went back into the education field and taught in Monticello for two years. After he left teaching, he joined the family trucking business and later became a long haul truck driver until his retirement in 2005.
Allie is survived by his wife, Patricia, of 61 years; two sons, Gregg Lenentine and his wife, Jo of Virginia Beach, VA, Brent Lenentine and his wife, Jeanie of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; daughter, Cheryl Porter and her husband, Steve of Bridgewater; and former daugher-in-law, Deborah (McGraw) Nevitt of Virginia Beach. He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Justin Lenentine and his wife, Victoria, and Joshua Lenentine of Virginia Beach; Jeremy Lenentine and his wife, Sarah, Mark Lenentine and his wife, Lacey, and Anna Winstead and her husband, Josh, all from Rio Rancho; Ashley Schmitz and her husband, Jeff of Bridgewater; four great-grandsons; the sister of his heart, Ida (Lewis) Harris of Marietta, OH; and several very special cousins and extended family members.
He was predeceased by his parents, Barry and Trissa; and brother, Paul Lenentine.
Friends may call at the Bridgewater Free Baptist Church, Wednesday, November 30, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will also be visiting hours starting at 12 p.m. before the funeral.The funeral service will be held at the Bridgewater Free Baptist Church, Thursday, December 1, 2016, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Robert Peters officiating. Interment will take place at Smith Cemetery in Bridgewater directly after the funeral. Friends and family are invited to a fellowship in remembrance of Allie back at the church following the interment.
