BLAINE, Maine — A local man was arrested recently after an alleged domestic disturbance.
According to the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office, Mark Tompkins, 50 of Blaine, was arrested and charged with domestic violence criminal threatening after an incident on Friday, Nov. 15.
Sheriff’s Deputy Reid Clark, who was assigned to the case, said Tompkins allegedly threatened a female at the Blaine residence, and that he was taken to the Aroostook County Jail. The identities of alleged domestic violence victims are not released.
Domestic violence criminal threatening is a class D crime with a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.
Tompkins posted bail and is scheduled to appear in Presque Isle District Court on Dec. 23, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
