8th-grade boys prevail

The Caribou Middle School boys basketball team defeated Fort Kent last Tuesday, 54-37, in a road contest.

The game was tight through three quarters, but Caribou’s second-half press wore down the Warriors as the Vikes made numerous steals and converted ensuing layups late in the contest.

Sawyer Deprey and Ethan Holdsworth scored 12 points each and Carter Quist contribute nine points to the winning total. Zack Madore and Miles Collier added to the balanced attack with eight points each. Cory Herbert, Jordan Duplissie and Cody Waldermarson were the defensive standouts.
