CARIBOU — Joan L. Iott, 83, passed away November 29, 2016 at Caribou. She was born in Caribou, April 23, 1933 the daughter of the late Arthur and Latiffa (Violette) Iott.

Joan was a lifelong member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she was a member of the daughters of Isabella, and the Ladies of St. Anne. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxillary, and always enjoyed volunteering for their annual Tootsie Roll drive. She was employed as a duty aide with the Caribou Schools, and was also a volunteer at Cary Medical Center for many years.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy Iott of Caribou, three daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Paul Hardison of Presque Isle, Donna and Tom McGraw of Fort Fairfield, and Lisa and Darrell Pictou of Caribou, ten grandchildren, Rosa, Pam, Melody, Norma, Christopher, Charles, Michael, Brian, David and Julie, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman White, a daughter, Bonnie, three sisters, Gloria Bailey, Barbara Magilacutty, and Joyce Iott.
Friends may call at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 9 a.m. until time of services. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. from the Parish of the Precious Blood Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Old Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
