The Easton Elementary School ChristmaspProgram will be on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. in the elementary school gym.

Science center presents program Dec. 17

Library invites public to session with state representative

Come meet new state representative David McCrea and hear his ideas about the upcoming legislative session. This is an opportunity to ask McCrea questions and share your ideas with him. This “get acquainted” session will be held at the Easton Community Library at the Easton Junior/Senior High School at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10. Please use the rear entrance to the school.

Upcoming community  library hours

The library will be open to the community for patrons to utilize library service such as book loans, use of periodicals and reference materials, Internet and computer access. Patrons may bring their own devices to access the Internet and will be asked to follow existing library rules/guidelines. On Wednesday, Dec. 7, the elementary school will be open after school until 5:30 p.m. The Easton High School library will be open from 9:30 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Dec. 10, with story time at 10 a.m.
Please sign up by Dec. 13 for the story time on Dec. 17. The book shared will be “Gingerbread Baby” by Jan Brett. Call Ashley Hull at the elementary school at 488-7700 or email ashley.hull@eastonschools.org.

Happy Days Club update

The next Happy Days Senior Citizens’ Club meeting will be a potluck lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017 in the recreation room at the Manor. They will be nominating/electing officers for 2017. Please plan to join us and bring a friend!
The club will not meet this month or in December due to the holidays and other community activities.

Sesquicentennial items

There are still a few items available to commemorate the town’s sesquicentennial celebration, such as a book chronicling the history of Easton, glasses, mugs, sweatshirts and T-shirts. Items can viewed or purchased at the town office. Call 488-6652 to check on availability.
