New physician joins Pines

     CARIBOU — Pines Health Center of Caribou recently welcomed a new addition to its physician staff.

     “Our newest family medicine physician, Dr. Diyanah Bani-Hani, completed her family medicine residency program in Michigan, providing her with a great training and experience for serving Aroostook County,” said Pines CEO Jim Davis.

     “The Oakwood Hospital Family Residency Program prepares its physicians to practice in any environment across the broad scope of family medicine. This includes state-of-the-art, evidence-based obstetric, pediatric, adult and geriatric care,” Davis said. “We are extremely pleased that she chose to join the growing Pines family medicine team.”

     Family medicine physicians diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses, and provide education and therapies to prevent illness and injury. 

     In addition to four years of medical school and her three-year family medicine residency, Dr. Bani-Hani has been certified in the American Academy of Pediatrics Neonatal Resuscitation Program.

     She is currently seeing patients Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Pines Caribou Health Center. Pines family medicine physicians see patients at their federally qualified health centers in Van Buren, Presque Isle, Washburn, Fort Fairfield and Caribou.

     Dr. Bani-Hani and her husband enjoying traveling and exploring the outdoor activities of the County, and are the parents of a new baby daughter.
