LITTLETON — B. Hartley Shaw, 90, died December 7, 2016, in Houlton. He was born July 29, 1926, in Littleton, the son of Beverly C. and Amber (Stockford) Shaw.

He was a Veteran of the US Army, serving during WWII in France, was a member of the Meduxnekeag Ramblers, and the Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum. Hartley enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to camp, and spending time with family and friends. He was a strong man who loved his family, served his country and loved camp.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Joyce (Crawford) Shaw of Littleton; a son, Otis and Linda Shaw of Littleton; three daughters, Gloria Fitzpatrick of Littleton, Margaret and Danny Hoyt of Orange Park, FL, Charlene and Philip Chase of Houlton; 10 grandchildren, Angela, Michele, Marty, Wayne, Richard, Adam, Matthew, Andrew, Tim and Gavin; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; two sisters, Shirley Warman and Marie Hagerman both of Houlton as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents; two sons, Preston and Johnny; six siblings Teddy, Milton, Edna, Dorothy, Roland and Jimmy Totten.

Friends called from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water Street, Houlton where funeral services was held 2 p.m. on Saturday with Rev. Steve Straubel officiating. A time of fellowship was held at the Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum immediately following. Spring interment will be at the Littleton Cemetery.
