CARIBOU — Therese M. Fortin Stubbs, 71, passed away December 15, 2016 at Bangor following a long illness.
She was born in St. Anne, N.B. Canada March 19, 1945, the daughter of the late Edmond and Azelda (Berube) Fortin. Therese was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family time, loved animals, NASCAR, the outdoors, music, and was an avid bingo player.
Surviving in addition to her husband of over 53 years, Bernard “Bunny” Stubbs of Caribou are her children, Bernard Stubbs Jr. and wife Pilar of Arizona, Steven Stubbs and wife Adrienne of Waterboro, Russell Stubbs and wife Kayla of Fort Fairfield and Brenda Stubbs of Caribou; one brother Simon Fortin of Van Buren, one sister Yolanda Lavoie of N.H. Ten grandchildren, including her special “Pookie”, Kevin Stubbs, three great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stubbs was predeceased by a son George.
