York’s of Houlton Atoms played a good game Saturday against Woodstock 2, but lost 7-0. The next game will be in Houlton against Woodstock 1, Dec. 31 at 9:15 a.m.
The Aroostook Auto Tech Peewees traveled to Perth Andover Saturday to meet up with Victoria-Tobique for an early morning matchup. Despite many efforts by the SAMHA Peewees, they were no match for the strong goalie from Victoria-Tobique.
With three players short on the ice, Houlton knew it was going to be a tough game. Houlton maintained a strong defense led by Natalie DeLucca, who put every effort into shutting down plays by Victoria-Tobique.
Offensively, there was great passing and many attempts to get the puck in the back of the net, however, Houlton left the ice unable to score. They succumbed to Victoria-Tobique with a loss of 9-0. The game scheduled for Sunday in Plaster Rock was canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date. The Aroostook Auto Tech Peewees are scheduled to hit the ice again at home on Saturday, Jan. 14, when they host Carleton at 10:30 a.m.
The Varney Agency Bantams had two games on Sunday cancelled due to weather. Their next home game is on Jan. 15 at 10 a.m. vs SAM of Augusta.
Westerdahl’s Towing Novice team’s game was cancelled due to weather. They have a tournament Dec. 27-28 in Woodstock.
