ACAP recognizes employees’ service

PRESQUE ISLE — Aroostook County Action Program, Inc. recently honored 12 employees for five, 15, 25, 30 and 35 years of employment.

EMPLOYEES HONORED — The Aroostook County Action program recently honored its longtime employees at a luncheon. Honorees from across Aroostook County were joined by their supervisors, agency leadership and the board of directors for a luncheon. They represented several ACAP program areas including community health, early care and education, energy and housing, and workforce development.
“When you add together the years of employment of these twelve staff members it equals 250 years of dedicated service,” said Jason Parent, ACAP executive director/CEO. “What is even more impressive is what our ACAP family members across our agency do each and every day to help our County friends and neighbors in need.”
The following staff members were recognized.
For five years of service: Addy Beck-Bell, Presque Isle; Vicky Corey, Caribou; Christine Dyment, Presque Isle; Alex Edmunds, Presque Isle; and Scott Walton, Presque Isle.
For 15 years: Jo-Ellen Kelley, Limestone; and Molly Nickerson, Bridgewater.
For 25 years: Laurie Nelson, Presque Isle.
For 30 years: Bonnie Stickney, Westfield.
And for 35 years: Jim Baillargeon, Castle Hill; Mary Duff, Houlton; Sue Powers, Mapleton; and Linda Slauenwhite, Oakfield.
“Last but not least, this year our accounting assistant, Kitty Pelkey, retired,” said Parent.
ACAP serves individuals throughout Aroostook County. Its main office is at 771 Main Street in Presque Isle. Other locations include 40 Alfalfa Ave., Suite 102, Fort Kent; 91 Military St., Houlton; and 88 Fox Street, Madawaska.
