LITTLETON — Opal Bailey 84, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 at a local hospital. She was born March 21, 1932 in Littleton, the daughter of Benjamin and Freda (Belyea) Bailey.
Opal grew up in Littleton and attended local schools. She was a longtime member of the Monticello Calvary Pentecostal Church. Opal worked at McCains for many years as a trimmer in Easton. She was a kind and gentle person who loved to pick wild flowers and berries.
Opal is survived by her siblings Freda McCluskey of East Hartford, CT, Imo Jean Ivey and her husband Richard of Ludlow, Gordon Bailey and his wife Doreen of Littleton, Elizabeth Cowperthwaite and her husband Richard of Monticello; special cousin James Briggs and his wife Delores of Littleton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister Viola Bailey.
