HOULTON — The Pregnancy Care Center of Houlton has announced that Kinda Hall of Hodgdon is the new Care Center Director.

Hall, originally from South Shore, Ky., recently moved to the area from Texas with her husband, Travis, and son, Colton. Previously employed as an adjunct instructor at Texas A&M International University and with the Children’s Ministry at Grace Bible Church in Texas, Hall has a diverse professional and educational background, which will be helpful as the center director.

Additionally, she earned a bachelor of arts degree from Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky and a master of public administration degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.

“I am sincerely looking forward to serving the community as the new Pregnancy Care Center director,” said Hall. “This mission is near and dear to my heart and I anticipate continuing to grow and strengthen the ministry. I look forward to building relationships with local pastors, community organizations, volunteers, and clients to help in meeting these goals.”

PCC Executive Director Christie Corey said, “I am excited and grateful to welcome Kinda to the PCC Team. The Pregnancy Center has grown significantly over the years. It has been necessary to increase our staff as we are stretched over the entire Aroostook County. We currently have a Center Director in each location now. I am looking forward to focusing on developing and strategizing our future steps as we strive to serve our community through education.”

The Houlton center will hold a meet and greet on Wednesday, Jan. 11, from noon until 4 p.m. for anyone who would like to attend. They encourage the public to stop in and meet Hall and the staff and enjoy light refreshments.

The PCC’s main office is located in Presque Isle at 184 Academy Street. Its two satellite offices are in Houlton, 56 Military St., and Fort Kent, 272 W. Main St. The center offers confidential and free services including pregnancy tests, infant clothing, parenting classes, material assistance, post-abortion counseling, Survivor Intervention Program for young adults, and GMC Program for moms to earn “mommy money” to purchase new baby furniture.
