NEW LIMERICK, Maine — A 70-year-old New Limerick woman had to be extracted from her vehicle Friday, Dec. 30, after she lost control while driving on the Station Road.

According to Maine State Police Sgt. Josh Haines, Abigail Domaldo was travelling north on the Station Road in a 2008 Ford Explorer when she lost control of her vehicle due to speed and slippery road conditions.

Domaldo’s vehicle left the road, spun 180 degrees and rolled over in a ditch, coming to a rest partially on the roof and driver’s side door, pinning her in the vehicle.

Houlton Fire and Ambulance responded to the scene and assisted in getting
the woman out of the vehicle. Domaldo was wearing her seatbelt and suffered only minor injuries and was not transported via ambulance.

The vehicle sustained significant damage and was towed from the scene. State Police responded to numerous other crashes around Aroostook County due to
the winter storm and encourage people to drive with
caution.
