HAYNESVILLE — Mahlon T. Nason, 69, died December 28, 2016 at his home. He was born November 13, 1947 in Haynesville, the son of Charles and Grace (Turner) Nason.
Mahlon was a quiet man who loved his family and had a passion for driving truck. He worked for Davis Trucking, D&D Trucking and for the last 27 years, he was also associated with Big Rock Transportation.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda (Haywood) Nason of Haynesville; his children, Robert and his wife, Robin Moran of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Sherry Moran of Lake City, FL; two grandchildren, Melinda and Steven Moran; a great-granddaughter, Olivia King; three sisters, Clara and Hollis Jipson of Hodgdon, Janice Farrar of Bangor, Joyce Nason of Houlton; two brothers, Dwayne and Nancy Nason of Bangor and Gale Nason of Houlton; many nieces, nephews, cousins; a favorite niece and nephew, Cheri Williams and Jimmy Nason; close friends, Rick Currie, Wayne Woods, Bruce Malone and the Graham Brothers. He was predeceased by his parents; siblings, Peanut Nason, Calvin Nason and Wyona Russell.
Graveside funeral services will be announced in the Spring.
