BLAINE, Maine — A family of seven in Blaine lost their home to a fire last Friday and is looking for help to recover.
It took more than five hours for about 25 firefighters from Mars Hill and other towns to extinguish a house fire that started at 125 Trafford Road in Blaine in the late afternoon of Jan. 13, 2017.
Joshua and Samantha Tweedie and their five family members emerged uninjured from the incident, and were receiving emergency assistance from the Red Cross after being displaced.
“Absolutely nothing is left but ashes and memories, and nothing is salvageable,” the family said on a GoFundMe page they set up seeking $10,000 in donations.
