TUCSON, AZ – Madgel J. Kennedy Desjardins, a 22 year resident of the Benson, St. David, Arizona areas, passed away in Tucson, AZ on April 28, 2014.
Madgel was 74 years old, born January 5, 1940, in Presque Isle. She attended Caribou schools then went on to train at Cary Hospital to become an X-Ray Technician. She was an X-Ray Technician in Athol, Mass., for 26 years.
Madgel was predeceased by her parents, Clifford Kennedy and Mable Higgins Kennedy; and one sister, Davidina Robbins.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Desjardins of Benson, AZ; sisters, Diana King and Paula (Kevin) Giles of Caribou; brother-in-law, Roger Desjardins of East Providence, RI; three nieces, Tawny Plourde of Caribou, Stacey Robbins of Fort Fairfield, Angela Doody of Fort Fairfield; five nephews, Larry King of Limestone, Derek King of Caribou, Kyle Giles, Tyler Giles and Dustin Giles, all of Caribou; and many great-nieces and nephews; and special friends Leo and Beverly Bergeron of AZ.
A memorial service will be held May 15 at the Presque Isle Wesleyan Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bud Fancy officiating. A reception will follow at the church.
