Many local musicians and fans were disappointed when Dusty’s Jamboree at the Mapleton Lions Hall came to an end last year, but there is good news. Warner Archer has agreed to revive the music scene in Mapleton on Sundays. Warner contacted the Lions Club and let them know that he would make the effort to restart the Sunday Jam sessions as Warner’s Music.
He invites all the musicians who had played at the Dusty’s Jamborees to come play on the twice monthly Warner’s Music Sundays.
Warner reported that as many as 17-20 musicians have attended various jam sessions.
There will be coffee and light refreshments for all who attend. The general public is invited to attend and enjoy the old-time music played at the hall. There is a small charge for spectators that cover the use of the hall. These admission fees are given to the Mapleton Lions Club in lieu of the hall’s normal rental fee.
The next Warner’s Music session is this coming Sunday, March 19, at the Mapleton Lions Hall on Main Street, from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
