SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Husson senior guard Chandler Guerrette has been selected to compete in the New England Women’s Basketball Association (NEWBA) Senior All-Star Game, to be held in the Mildred S. Howard Gymnasium on the campus of Mount Holyoke College on Saturday, March 25.

Guerrette became the third Eagle player in program history selected to participate in this event and one of 23 players competing in this year’s game. This is also marks the first time that Husson has had a player selected to play in the game in back-to-back seasons. Guerrette will play on the White team that will be coached by Husson coach Kissy Walker, who was recently named the NEWBA Head Coach of the Year.

Guerrette was tabbed as the 2017 NAC Player of the Year, the 2017 NAC Defensive Player of the Year for the second-straight season and the ECAC New England DIII Player of the Year, while earning her fourth career All-NAC and All-NAC Tournament selections. She became the first player in program history to earn All-Conference and Conference All-Tournament honors all four years of their career, in addition to being selected to the 2017 MWBCA All-State First Team, the ECAC All-New England First Team and to the D3hoops.com All-Northeast Region Third Team.

Guerrette is a 2013 graduate of Presque Isle High School and played four years for the Wildcats under head coach Jeff Hudson. She was a part of two state championship teams at PIHS.
