MARS HILL, Maine — On Saturday, March 25, 2017, Wilderness Walk for Warriors will return to Mars Hill to thank local veterans for their service.
Veterans are invited to the William Cousins Post 118 American Legion, 1 Silver St., for a luncheon and slide show from 12 to 2 p.m. The presentation will incorporate the 2014-16 hikes, as well as other activities since its inception in 2013.
Wilderness Walk for Warriors will provide thank-you boxes; veterans who are planning to attend and would like a food box should email Rod Collins at rc199@twc.com by March 21 so they can get a rough count of the number of boxes needed.
Veterans are welcome to attend the presentation and luncheon without an RSVP and get a box if there are any still available.
