SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY — Angela Marie Gagnon, 58, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 14, 2017. Angela was born on January 7, 1959, in Presque Isle, Maine, the daughter of Roger and Corinna Beaulier Garrity.
A graduate of Ashland High School, Angela married her best friend and soulmate of 38 years, Gib Gagnon. Together they raised two daughters, Nicole (Tim) Busch, 33, of Malta, NY, and Olivia Gagnon, 25, of Brooklyn, NY. Angela and Gib exemplified the truest, most selfless kind of love that inspired everyone who came to know them.
Angela was more than a dedicated wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, and neighbor. She had the ability to inspire others with her artistic spirit, whether it was through her love of gardening and cooking, or her immense talent as an interior decorator. She also had a deep love of music and dancing and thoroughly enjoyed visiting the honkey tonks in Nashville, TN.
Angela was a woman of Catholic faith who lived a charitable life. She donated her time to supporting her family and community through organizations including Caz Cares Community Center, PTA, Girl Scouts of America, and countless other church communities and nonprofit organizations. Those who are family and friends of Angela will miss her compassionate soul, contagious laughter, strong will and steadfast love for others.
Along with her husband Gib and daughters, Nicole and Olivia, Angela is survived by her grandson, Beau Gibson Busch; son-in-Law, Tim Busch; mother, Corinna Beaulier Garrity; as well as sisters Lori McMillon and fiancé Rene of Caribou, ME, and Kathryn Stevens and husband Aubrey of Peach Tree City, GA; and brother Joe Garrity and wife Bev of Pawley’s Island, SC. Angela was predeceased by her father, Roger Garrity and brother, James Garrity. She has also shared her life with many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Most importantly, Angela lived her life treating others with compassion and kindness. Her wish was for those who knew her to live life selflesslyto help a stranger in need, make someone laugh or hug your loved ones closely in honor of her memory.
