WOODLAND, Maine — Wednesday’s high winds and low temps created slick spots and poor visibility on roads in Aroostook County resulting in a rollover crash north of Caribou.

Late Wednesday afternoon state police responded to a rollover crash on Route 161 in Woodland.

According to Trooper Nicholas Casavant, 25-year-old Sarah Brown of Caribou was southbound on Route 161 in her 2008 GMC truck when she hit a patch of ice and lost control of the truck.

The truck left the roadway, rolled over a snowbank and came to a stop on its roof.

Brown was not injured and was wearing her seatbelt.

The truck was towed from the scene with significant damage.
