The Caribou Public Library will host the Aroostook Mental Health Center program Parents in the Know on Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The session is intended for parents and caregivers and will take place in the library’s Caribou Room.
Parents are crucial to protecting children and preventing child sexual abuse. Parents in the Know is an innovative child sexual abuse prevention program. The workshop will cover a number of topics such as promoting safety and respectful behaviors, recognizing questionable behavior with adults, and how to teach children about respectful relationships age-appropriate sexual development, sexual abuse prevention and healthy sexuality.
