HOWLAND, Maine — The Caribou Middle School wrestling team turned in an impressive showing at a tournament held Saturday, March 25.
The Vikings, under coach Thomas Beckum, placed second out of 10 teams. Dexter placed first, with Caribou only four points behind. The Vikes finished ahead of Foxcroft, Hermon, Lee, Fort Kent, Penobscot Valley, Calvary Chapel, Bucksport and Sebasticook.
Claiming individual championships for the Vikings were Ashton Beauchamp, Brannon Hall and Angel Riopelle.
Placing second were Caleb Robbins, Oliver Peterson and Darian Hartley, while taking third were Ethan Edgecomb, Connor Soucy, Robert Caron, Wyatt Grant, Seth Lister, Riley Saucier, Riley Connolly and Michael Baugh.
Fourth-place went to Saffayia Durepo, Edward Cooly, Ilsah Peterson, Johan Thayer, Jacob Smart and Chloe Kirschmann.
