LIMESTONE, Maine — Patrick Q. Taggett, 59, husband of the late Katherine (Pelletier) Taggett, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening, March 27, 2017, at his Limestone residence.
He was born November 17, 1957, in Caribou, the son of Harry E. and Sarah E. (Hafford) Taggett. He attended Limestone schools and had been employed by Interstate Foods, Fort Fairfield, and by several area farmers including Bob Churchill, Alan Sloan, and Cyrus Morris. Patrick loved to tinker with cars, and always had a joke and a great sense of humor. He cherished the time spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Patrick was predeceased by his wife Katherine on July 2, 1986; and one brother, Ralph Taggett. He is survived by one son, Patrick R. Taggett of Presque Isle; two daughters, Lisa Taggett of Junction City, KS, Kelsey Taggett of Caribou; six brothers, Paul Taggett and his wife Betty, John Taggett, Cyrus Taggett, all of Limestone, Harry “Pete” Taggett of Caribou, Irvan Taggett of Brewer, Hazen Taggett and his wife Patsy of Mapleton; three sisters, Phyllis Brown and her husband John of Kennesaw, GA, Elizabeth Denslow and her husband Robert of Presque Isle, Sara Johnson and her companion Melvin Cleaves of Caribou. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Bonnie Taggett of Fort Fairfield; grandchildren, Forrest and Austin Taggett, both of Junction City, KS, Kayleigh Taggett and Jaylynn McBreairty, both of Caribou; special friends, Christopher and Denise Jalbert and their children, Christopher Jalbert Jr. and Cameron Jalbert, all of Presque Isle, Cassandra and Clayton Hathaway and their children Alexis, Ethan and Natalie Hathaway, all of New Brunswick; several nieces and nephews; and Patrick’s special cat “Sam”.
Friends called Friday, March 31, 2017, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Limestone Assembly of God, 18 Church Street, Limestone, where funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Amuzzini officiating. Interment will take place later in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield.
